What to Expect
Quick Paperwork
Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to complete. The paperwork will provide us with general information about yourself along with your condition. History and Examination
In order to determine what the actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, numerous specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and also to what magnitude.
X Rays & Diagnostic Testing
Your specific condition might require us to perform x-rays to either eliminate more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective diagnosis and resulting treatment plan for you. You may also receive a computerized Range of Motion test to determine any functional losses you may have. You may be scheduled for other tests that are appropriate to your condition and/or complaints.
Same Day Treatment
When finished with the examination and all the appropriate studies, you may receive your first treatment during this first visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.
Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This could include ice or heat, application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
Schedule your next appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days after their initial visit and are given a complete review of our findings and recommended treatment plan. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
